The fine World of Espresso (neu!)

The widely known Espresso is a strong coffee brewed by forcing steam with pressure through darkly roasted coffee powder. The special taste of an espresso is appreciated by coffe lovers all around the globe.

How to make a fine espresso with your favorite machine

  • Pour water into the machine�s reservoir and dont forget to turn the machine on ;-)
  • Now you have to wait until the water boils.
  • Fine coffee grounds haveg to be placed in the coffee holder, they should also be packed down.
  • Now the water will be pumped into the heating chamber of your espresso coffee maker at a very high pressure (~7 bar!)
  • The water will be pushed through the ground coffee beans and out of the coffee holder spout of the espresso machine into your coffee cup.
  • Well done, you delicious espresso cup is ready to relish.

    And did you know...

    Espresso comes from Italy, where they started to serve this special kind of coffee in 1930. It was called espressivo - the italian word for explicit
    Other explanations are the words expresso which means fast and exprimere but it is not known if this is actually true.

    The Golden Rule for real Exprezzo

    Golden Rule A double-espresso should equal 2 to 2,5 fluid ounces, have approx. 14 grams of ground coffee in the filterbasket, and take approx. 20 to 25 sec. from the moment of starting the pump to reaching the appointed liquid volume.
    Usually you would prefer double shots because of the chemistry involved in extracting the flavors and aromas from the coffee powder.
