Golden Rule A double-espresso should equal 2 to 2,5 fluid ounces, have approx. 14 grams of ground coffee in the filterbasket, and take approx. 20 to 25 sec. from the moment of starting the pump to reaching the appointed liquid volume.Usually you would prefer double shots because of the chemistry involved in extracting the flavors and aromas from the coffee powder.
